Useful Links

Simon Knott has created two fabulous websites documenting every (or almost every) church in Norfolk and Suffolk. They are informative, well-researched and beautifully written. If you are interested in churches, and haven't visited his websites, I highly recommend them.

Partly inspired by Simon Knott, Mark Ynys-Mon and Ben Colburn have an excellent website focusing on Cambridgeshire Churches

The Churches Conservation Trust is responsible for protecting over 340 disused historic churches in England. Their estate includes several angel roof churches in East Anglia such as Booton, Hockwold and St Nicholas King's Lynn. The CCT does great work, and its website is excellent.

The Church of England's website A Church Near You is sometimes useful for locating individual churches, and checking access, though it is often not very informative.

Art Alive in Churches is a partnership between the Diocese of Norwich and Norfolk Arts Partnership celebrating the county’s rural arts and heritage, through exhibitions in some of Norfolk's most beautiful churches.

Angels and Pinnacles is a an informative and nicely designed website devoted to Open Churches in Suffolk.

The photographer John Goto has created a brilliant and haunting website focusing on the iconoclasm of East Anglian rood screens.
